The North Dakota-Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Recovery Center will re-open in Valley City on Tuesday and remain open through Friday at the Barnes County Courthouse, 230 Fourth St. NW.
Hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
DRCs are open to provide disaster assistance to North Dakota residents who have been affected by spring flooding. They are open for residents who like to speak one-on-one to recovery representatives. However, it’s not necessary to visit a center to receive disaster assistance.
State and federal officials encourage those affected by the disaster to register for assistance immediately by calling: 800-621-3362 (also applies for VRS and 711-Relay users) or TTY 800-462-7585. The toll-free line is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Individuals may also register for disaster assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov.
