HENSLER, N.D. (AP) — The campground at Cross Ranch State Park in central North Dakota has reopened after being closed much of the summer because of the Missouri River flood threat.
The campground at the park south of Washburn was shut down in late May but reopened this week. State Parks Director Mark Zimmerman says there's still time left this summer for people to enjoy the outdoors.
The park is waiving its entrance fee on Sunday and hosting a free bluegrass concert. Zimmerman plans to be on hand Sunday, cooking up cherry cobbler and cake for visitors.
