Flood disaster aid in ND tops $300 million

Federal and state aid for North Dakota residents and businesses hurt by flooding this year has topped $300 million.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Federal and state aid for North Dakota residents and businesses hurt by flooding this year has topped $300 million.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says nearly 10,000 people had registered for assistance by Sept. 1.

People and businesses in the counties of Barnes, Benson, Burleigh, McHenry, Morton, Ramsey, Renville, Richland and Ward can apply. The deadline is Sept. 22.
