Local grief support sign up starts

Beginning Experience of Jamestown and the surrounding area will begin a 10-week session today in the basement of Trinity Lutheran Church, 523 Fourth Ave. SE.

Beginning Experience is the oldest grief support group for those who have lost a loved one to death, divorce or separation. It is a Christian support group and confidentiality is stressed at all times.

Registration begins at 7 p.m. and sessions will start at 7:30. Featured this session will be Levels 1 and 2. The emphasis of Level 1 is to understand the stages of the grieving process and to give support and care to those who are in pain.

Level 2 helps participants rebuild their lives after loss of a love relationship.

Cost is $20 for Level 1 and $35 for Level 2. Scholarships are available for those who can’t afford it.
