Hope, ND, man dies in crash Monday

A 78-year-old Hope, N.D., man died following a one-vehicle crash Monday south of Hope, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

A 78-year-old Hope, N.D., man died following a one-vehicle crash Monday south of Hope, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Steele County Road 6, about five miles south of Hope.

The patrol said the man was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger northbound on Steele County Road 6 about five miles south of Hope when he lost control of the vehicle, it entered the west ditch and rolled.

The man was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene of the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The patrol, Steele County Sheriff’s Department and Hope Fire and Rescue responded to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the patrol.
