BISMARCK (AP) — Favorable weather has helped advance harvesting progress across North Dakota.
The Agriculture Department said in its weekly crop and weather report that barley was 93 harvested as of Sunday. Durum wheat was 98 percent turning and 61 percent harvested.
Wheal and canola were also making progress.
The report noted that 99 percent of the corn crop has reached the dough stage, behind 100 percent at this point last year but ahead of the five-year 90-percent average.
Warm, dry weather across the state provided for an average of 6.9 days suitable for fieldwork.
