Documents accuse doctor of drugging woman 32 times

A Fargo doctor charged with drugging a woman in his home and having sex with her allegedly told authorities he injected her with the narcotic nearly three-dozen times.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo doctor charged with drugging a woman in his home and having sex with her allegedly told authorities he injected her with the narcotic nearly three-dozen times.

Dr. Jon Norberg is facing felony charges of gross sexual imposition and reckless endangerment. Authorities accuse Norberg of administering a powerful anesthetic that rendered the woman unconscious.

KFGO news reports that a warrant shows that Norberg told the state Board of Medical Examiners he injected the woman about 32 times. Norberg told the board the sex was consensual.

The warrant shows that police seized 24 bottles of the drug from Norberg's home.

Defense attorney John Goff was unavailable for comment.

Norberg is on voluntary leave from his job as an orthopedic surgeon with Sanford Health. The woman was not Norberg's patient.
