SEW-A-THON set for Oct. 1
Fabric and Textile Warehouse in Jamestown is hosting its sixth annual SEW-A-THON from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Buffalo Mall.
Fabric and Textile Warehouse in Jamestown is hosting its sixth annual SEW-A-THON from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Buffalo Mall.
Volunteers at the benefit will sew walker bags for veterans homes and neck coolers for actively serving troops overseas. The public is welcome to come cut, press, and fold for a few hours and bring their own scissors and sewing machines and/or sergers.
Fabric and Textile Warehouse provides all fabric and thread to make the wheelchair bags and neck coolers. Call 252-3406 to sign up.
The business is also doing a white washcloth drive collecting new white washcloths for veterans homes. Drop off donations at Fabric and Textile Warehouse.
