ND woman pleads guilty to helping burglarize post office
U.S. Attorney Timothy Q. Purdon announced that Jewell Alberts of Devils Lake, N.D., pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Court Judge Ralph R. Erickson to a charge of aiding and abetting the burglary of a post office.

Alberts, 23, pleaded guilty to driving a car to St. Michael, N.D., with
knowledge that her passenger intended to burglarize the post office. Kalum Yankton pleaded guilty on July 26, 2011, to the post office burglary. The St. Michael Post Office is located on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.
The charge of aiding and abetting burglary of a post office carries a statutory maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment.
The case was investigated by the Postal Inspector for the United States Post Office.
Sentencing for Alberts has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Nov. 21 in U.S. District Court in Grand Forks.
