BISMARCK (AP) — A company has filed plans to develop a 150-megawatt wind farm near Hettinger.

The Bismarck Tribune reported that Wind Works Power Corp. filed a letter of intent with the North Dakota Public Service Commission in August. It plans to start construction on the $300 million project next June and complete it by Dec. 31, 2012.

Public Service Commissioner Kevin Cramer said the date is significant because a federal tax incentive will expire at the end of 2012.

The Thunder Spirit Wind farm would be located 10 miles northeast of Hettinger in Adams County and consist of up to 75 wind towers.

The company said it is negotiating power purchase agreements with potential customers for its power.
