BISMARCK (AP) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency is hosting a flood mitigation workshop in Beulah on Thursday.

The Bismarck Tribune reported that agency specialists will provide information on how to protect homes from future flood damage and tips on how to clean up mold and mildew.

Officials said a representative from the National Flood Insurance Program is slated to explain the benefits of flood insurance.

Two years ago, the Knife River flooded about 80 homes on Beulah’s south side.

About 3,000 people live in the Mercer County community.
