N.D. K-9 units put their noses to work

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is performing annual K-9 training for troopers and their drug-sniffing dogs.

BISMARCKAP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol is performing annual K-9 training for troopers and their drug-sniffing dogs.

The patrol has eight K-9 units across the state, and plans to add one more team in western North Dakota in the next year.

The dogs need to be recertified every year and practice on vehicles staged with meth, marijuana and cocaine.
