Send-off planned for National Guard Aviation Unit
BISMARCK, N.D. - The community is invited to a send-off ceremony for North Dakota National Guard soldiers about to depart on a year-long mission to Kosovo.
BISMARCK, N.D. - The community is invited to a send-off ceremony for North Dakota National Guard soldiers about to depart on a year-long mission to Kosovo.
Approximately 55 soldiers with the Bismarck-based Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 1st Battalion, 112th Aviation Regiment (Security and Support) will leave this month to serve as part of Kosovo Forces (KFOR) 15. The regiment will provide aviation support.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple and Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota adjutant general, will speak during the ceremony, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Army Aviation Support Facility, 3410 Airway Ave., Bismarck, N.D.
