NDSU enrollment steady after years of increases

Fall semester enrollment at North Dakota State University in Fargo has leveled off after 11 straight years of setting records, but other colleges in the region are seeing increases in students.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fall semester enrollment at North Dakota State University in Fargo has leveled off after 11 straight years of setting records, but other colleges in the region are seeing increases in students.

NDSU is reporting an official fall enrollment of 14,399, eight fewer students than last year. It is the first time in four years that the school did not have a higher enrollment than the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, which reported a record 14,697 students this fall.

Valley City State University also reported a record enrollment of 1,384 students, and the State College of Science in Wahpeton hit a 28-year-high of 3,127 students.
