UND, NDSU teams going into halls of fame

Two North Dakota college teams that won national championships are being inducted into halls of fame this month.

BISMARCK (AP) — Two North Dakota college teams that won national championships are being inducted into halls of fame this month.

On Saturday, the University of North Dakota’s 2001 NCAA Division II national champion football team will be inducted into the UND Athletics Hall of Fame. About 50 players from the team are expected to be on hand.

On Sept. 30, North Dakota State’s 1991 Division II national champion women’s basketball team will be inducted into the Bison Athletic Hall of Champions.
