Top UND hockey recruit sidelined with injury
University of North Dakota hockey forward Rocco Grimaldi is listed as “week to week” with an undisclosed lower-body injury. Grimaldi was voted the preseason rookie of the year in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association will not play in UND’s exhibition against the University of Regina on Saturday.
GRAND FORKS (AP) — University of North Dakota hockey forward Rocco Grimaldi is listed as “week to week” with an undisclosed lower-body injury.
Grimaldi was voted the preseason rookie of the year in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association will not play in UND’s exhibition against the University of Regina on Saturday.
Grimaldi is a former California hockey standout who starred on the U.S. Under-17 and Under-18 teams.
UND opens the regular season Oct. 7 against Air Force in the Ice Breaker Invitational in Grand Forks, which also will feature Michigan State and Boston College.
