Bail has been set at $100,000 for a Moorhead, Minn., man who authorities say hid in a North Dakota cornfield and kept them at bay for 11 hours faces.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Bail has been set at $100,000 for a Moorhead, Minn., man who authorities say hid in a North Dakota cornfield and kept them at bay for 11 hours faces.

The Forum newspaper reports that 21-year-old Dylan Pederson appeared via video in Cass County District Court Friday afternoon on charges of terrorizing, reckless endangerment, fleeing police and preventing arrest.

Authorities say Pederson fled into the cornfield north of Fargo after a gun incident in a car with his girlfriend. He was taken into custody shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday after he was seen moving by an officer guarding the perimeter of the cornfield.

Pederson told authorities he had shot himself three times in the stomach with what turned out to be a pellet gun, but the shots didn't penetrate skin
