ND National Guard unit could be mobilized
A North Dakota Army National Guard unit based in Bismarck has been notified it may be mobilized.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota Army National Guard unit based in Bismarck has been notified it may be mobilized.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that the 1919th Contingency Contracting Team is expected to depart in late 2012 if mobilized.
No duty location has been specified for the 4-soldier unit. No decision has been made to mobilize the unit.
The unit specializes in planning, coordinating and issuing contracts for supplies and services required for supporting U.S. military forces.
