BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A longtime labor leader in North Dakota is stepping down.
Dave Kemnitz is leaving as president of the North Dakota AFL-CIO at the end of the month. He's been the president for nearly three decades.
The 62-year-old Kemnitz tells the Grand Forks Herald that he plans to return to his roots as an electrician.
Gary Granzotto of Minot will replace Kemnitz as president of the North Dakota AFL-CIO, which has about 10,000 members.
