UND wins opener

Sophomore Brock Nelson scored twice in the last 6:12 of the game to lift North Dakota to a 4-3 win over Air Force Friday night at the Ice Breaker Tournament.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — Sophomore Brock Nelson scored twice in the last 6:12 of the game to lift North Dakota to a 4-3 win over Air Force Friday night at the Ice Breaker Tournament.

Nelson netted the tying goal for North Dakota (1-0-0) at 13:48 of the third period and got the game-winner at 15:15. He also assisted on Corban Knight’s goal that opened the scoring early in the first period.
