The Eagles (2-0-0) took over in the second period, scoring three goals in four minutes to take a 5-2 lead.
“It was a good hockey game to that point and we stubbed our on toe,” North Dakota coach Dave Hakstol said. “We let one mistake turn into another one and that absolutely changed the hockey game.”
With the game tied a 2-2 midway through the period. Boston College’s Johnny Gaudreau scored on the power play, followed by Mullane less than three minutes later and Arnold a minute after that.
