GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The University of North Dakota this month is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its library.
The Chester Fritz Library was dedicated Oct. 13, 1961. The building is named for the former student whose donation spurred the state Legislature to fund construction.
UND is holding several events to mark the anniversary. An all-campus reception is scheduled the afternoon of Oct. 21 in the Library Reading Room.
