Letter to the editor: BCN voters should approve vote for one school

We have exercised the privilege to vote in Jamestown since moving here from the Barnes County North School District. We own our own home, therefore we are supporters of the youth in the Jamestown schools.
Most of us have a nice home, a car and modern machinery if you are a farmer. Staying modern seems to be the way to be successful.
One our best investments today is to provide for our youth. The very best we can.
In order for youth to compete we must keep them up with the new technology and provide opportunities for learning.
Having one teacher for a class seems more practical then having three small classes. Three older schools to keep in repair is a continuing expense. Heating three schools is an expense. Let’s build one school in one location.
Our youth will complete with other youth who have up-to-date advantage in their learning experience. The youth of today will in the future be making decisions that will affect the adults.
We own land in Barnes County North School District therefore we share with others the expense of providing for our youth.
I urge Barnes County North patrons to vote “yes” for Barnes County North School to be centrally located in one building on Oct. 25 at your school.
