Man sentenced in child porn case

A 29-year-old North Dakota man who received thousands of child pornography images has been sentenced to 17 1/2 years in federal prison.

BISMARCK (AP) — A 29-year-old North Dakota man who received thousands of child pornography images has been sentenced to 17 1/2 years in federal prison.

U.S. District Court Judge Daniel L. Hovland also sentenced Matthew P. Koch, of Bismarck, to serve 10 years of supervised release. Koch pleaded guilty in July to the charge of receiving materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

Investigators found Koch had received approximately 3,500 images of child pornography.
