N.D. electric co-ops getting flood grants
North Dakota’s congressional delegation said two electric cooperatives are getting a total of $3.4 million in federal grants to help with flood recovery.
BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota’s congressional delegation said two electric cooperatives are getting a total of $3.4 million in federal grants to help with flood recovery.
Verendrye Electric Cooperative based in Minot and Velva is getting $1.9 million through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Bismarck-based Capital Electric Co-op is getting $1.5 million.
Sens. Kent Conrad and John Hoeven and Rep. Rick Berg sid the co-ops will use the money to repair infrastructure.
