A second man says he will plead guilty in federal court to placing a homemade bomb in a Bismarck mailbox.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A second man says he will plead guilty in federal court to placing a homemade bomb in a Bismarck mailbox.

Casey Nagel is charged in federal court with unlawful possession of an unregistered firearm and conspiracy to destroy a letter box. The plea agreement calls for the government to drop the second charge.

A plea hearing has not been scheduled.

Authorities say the device was manufactured with an explosive mixture, soda cans, sparklers and tape.

Thomas Crawford pleaded guilty earlier to unlawful making of a firearm. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5.
