Costco to hire hundreds for new West Fargo store

Costco plans to hire hundreds of employees when it opens its first store in North Dakota next year.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Costco plans to hire hundreds of employees when it opens its first store in North Dakota next year.

The Forum reports that the big-box retailer plans to hire at least 200 people before the store's planned opening next October in West Fargo.

Costco representative Ted Johnson says another 50 jobs will likely be added once the store is established.

The West Fargo store will include a stand-alone gas station and 755 parking spaces. Construction is expected to start in May, with a tentative opening scheduled for a year from now.
