Underground fault caused power outage

About 641 Otter Tail Power Co. customers lost power for one hour and 29 minutes Monday evening in Jamestown, including many homes and businesses within a few blocks of First Avenue South.
Jeff Hoff, Jamestown customer service manager with Otter Tail, said the outage was caused by an underground fault on the company’s downtown southwest circuit.
Power went off at 10:15 p.m. and was restored at approximately 11:44 p.m.
