ND lamb meat business sold; expanding eastwardA Grand Forks company has purchased a lamb business in south central North Dakota.
DRISCOLL, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks company has purchased a lamb business in south central North Dakota.
Catherine's for Lamb owner Kate Pfenning (FEHN’-ihg) auctioned her operation near Driscoll earlier this month because she's moving back to her native New Zealand to care for her father.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that Billie's Soap and Spa Products bought the business and wants to expand Pfennig's line of products to stores in eastern North Dakota. Catherine's for Lamb distributes meat to grocers and restaurants in the Bismarck and Dickinson areas.
Billie's co-owner Brian Dorff says his business has moved the flock of ewes and lambs to land outside Grand Forks and recently brought its first load to slaughter.
