The Vikings went a perfect 6-0 in the Dakota Athletic Conference to win the final league title in runaway fashion. Every year until this one that would have meant an automatic trip to the playoffs, but with just four teams the DAC is two short of being an automatic-qualifying league.
Instead, the Vikings will have to qualify as an at large team. Traditionally, teams ranked inside the top 20 earn at-large bids, the top 15 is a virtual lock, so the Vikings should be OK if they win.
