Pingree girl injured in accident

A 15-year-old Pingree girl was injured Monday after the vehicle she was driving slid on loose gravel, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department.

A 15-year-old Pingree girl was injured Monday after the vehicle she was driving slid on loose gravel, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department.

Samantha Schmoker was driving a 2000 Chevrolet westbound on a township gravel road en route from a farm field to Pingree. Schmoker told officials that the vehicle began to slide as it crested a hill. The vehicle spun and entered a left ditch, striking a hay bale.

Schmoker was wearing a seat belt.

The Chevrolet had $7,000 in damage.
