Business owners eligible for loans
Owners of small, nonfarm businesses in North Dakota affected by flooding and other disasters this year are eligible to apply for disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
BISMARCK (AP) — Owners of small, nonfarm businesses in North Dakota affected by flooding and other disasters this year are eligible to apply for disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Business owners in all of North Dakota’s counties except Bowman are eligible to apply for the loans of up to $2 million to cover operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred. The interest rate is 4 percent for businesses and 3 percent for private, nonprofit organizations.
Business owners in five South Dakota counties may also apply for the disaster loans. Those counties are: Brown, Campbell, Marshall, McPherson and Roberts.
People can apply by calling 800-659-2955, emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov or visiting www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. The deadline to apply for June 25, 2012.
