Valley City woman airlifted after Wednesday crash

A Valley City, N.D., woman was airlifted to Fargo after injuries sustained in a Wednesday crash, according to the North Dakota High Patrol.

A Valley City, N.D., woman was airlifted to Fargo after injuries sustained in a Wednesday crash, according to the North Dakota High Patrol.

The crash happened around 10:50 p.m. at mile marker 329 on Interstate 94 near Casselton.

Heather M. Wilson, 22, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer eastbound from Valley City to Fargo when it entered the median and over corrected. The vehicle rolled into the median and came to a rest.

Wilson was ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said. She was not wearing a seat belt.

She was airlifted to the Sanford Health emergency room.

Wilson was cited for DUI.

The vehicle was totaled.

The patrol said the crash is under investigation.
