Fargo neighborhood listed in National Register
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo's Oak Grove neighborhood has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The Register is the federal government's list of properties deemed worthy of recognition and preservation. Fargo assistant city planner Dawn Mayo tells The Forum that it's an honor for the neighborhood that once was home to working-class residents linked to downtown by a streetcar line.
The Oak Grove neighborhood is the sixth area in Fargo to be placed on the National Register.
