Corn, sunflower harvests wrap up

North Dakota’s corn harvest is almost wrapped up, and the sunflower harvest isn’t far behind.

FARGO (AP) — North Dakota’s corn harvest is almost wrapped up, and the sunflower harvest isn’t far behind.

The Agriculture Department said in its weekly crop and weather report that the corn harvest is 96 percent done and the sunflower harvest is 85 percent complete, both well ahead of the long-term average pace.

Topsoil and subsoil moisture supplies and stockwater supplies are rated mostly adequate to surplus.
