MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Two businesses are expanding into Minot.

United Pulse Trading is adding a facility in the city, its third in North Dakota. And Oregon-based security company EID (ee-EYE’-dee) Passport Inc. has opened a technical support center in the city.

Gov. Jack Dalrymple and members of the state's congressional delegation say the business expansions will create more than 75 jobs and help the city with its recovery from historic Souris River flooding earlier this year.

United Pulse Trading also has facilities in Bismarck and Williston. The subsidiary of Alliance Grain Traders Inc. deals with crops such as dry peas and lentils.

EID Passport specializes in technology that provides secure access for everything from government buildings to military installations. Founder and CEO Steve Larson is a Minot native.
