ND companies getting federal broadband loans
Three communications companies in North Dakota are getting federal loans to boost broadband access in their service areas.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Three communications companies in North Dakota are getting federal loans to boost broadband access in their service areas.
The money is through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says 28 telephone utilities in 18 states are getting money through the initiative.
In North Dakota, SRT Communications is getting $24.8 million in loan money, BEK Communications Cooperative $26.8 million and Polar Communications Mutual Aid Corp. $32.9 million.
