FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Totten man arrested after two apartment building fires in Fargo on Sunday has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
The Forum newspaper reports that 29-year-old Lyndon Greybear is accused of assaulting his cousin's two children, starting a fire in the bedroom where they were sleeping and then starting a second fire on a door at an apartment building a block away. Authorities say the 4- and 6-year-old children were bruised and bloody and taken to a hospital.
Police reports say Greybear had been baby-sitting and allegedly drinking heavily. He also is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of endangering by fire or explosion. His bond was set Tuesday at $100,000. It was not immediately clear if he had obtained a lawyer.
