Flags in ND at half-staff on Pearl Harbor day

Gov. Jack Dalrymple is asking that all flags in North Dakota be flown at half-staff to recognize the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gov. Jack Dalrymple is asking that all flags in North Dakota be flown at half-staff to recognize the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Dalrymple's request is in accordance with a proclamation by President Barack Obama declaring Wednesday as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor brought the U.S. into World War II.
