ND city of Casselton has string of burglaries

Residents of the eastern North Dakota city of Casselton are being advised to keep their homes and vehicles locked after a string of break-ins.

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of the eastern North Dakota city of Casselton are being advised to keep their homes and vehicles locked after a string of break-ins.

Cass County Chief Deputy Jim Thoreson tells The Forum newspaper that about half a dozen burglaries have been reported in the past six weeks. The most recent was Monday at the Maple River Winery, where a small amount of cash was taken.

Thoreson says authorities believe juveniles are responsible.
