Suspects charged in gun incident

Three people have been charged after their involvement in a gun-pointing incident that happened Nov. 28 on Interstate 94, near Alexandria, Minn. According to the State Patrol, a motorist reported seeing a person in a car pointing a gun at others on the freeway, and one of the people in the car was wearing a ski mask.

Three people have been charged after their involvement in a gun-pointing incident that happened Nov. 28 on Interstate 94, near Alexandria, Minn.

According to the State Patrol, a motorist reported seeing a person in a car pointing a gun at others on the freeway, and one of the people in the car was wearing a ski mask.

The incident happened about 10 miles east of Alexandria on I-94.

The State Patrol and Alexandria Police Department stopped the vehicle a short time later near the intersection of Broadway Street and 10th Avenue South in Alexandria.

An air-powered handgun, cap gun and mask were found in the vehicle.

The vehicle’s occupants included: Dylan Andrew Donovan, 18, of Alexandria, who was driving the vehicle; and passengers Evan Bryan Gulbranson, 19, of Alexandria; and Levi Ray Cornelius, 18, of Alexandria. An 18-year-old from Parkers Prairie was not charged. All four were taken into custody.

According to the State Patrol, Gulbranson was charged with possession of a legend drug, which means being in possession of a prescription drug that’s not prescribed to you. It’s a misdemeanor offense. Cornelius was charged with terroristic threats, which is a felony; and Donovan was charged with driving after revocation, a misdemeanor offense.

No one was injured in the incident.
