Freezing rain makes roads slick in the Dakotas

Freezing rain late Tuesday and early Wednesday led to several accidents in the Dakotas.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Freezing rain late Tuesday and early Wednesday led to several accidents in the Dakotas.

The National Weather Service issued advisories about the poor driving conditions in both North Dakota and South Dakota overnight.

The Daily Republic newspaper reported numerous vehicles sliding off Interstate 90 in South Dakota on Tuesday night. The Forum newspaper reported several accidents in southeast North Dakota early Wednesday, including an armored car and a semitrailer that rolled off Interstate 29.
