Christmas garbage pickup scheduled

The Jamestown street department has announced garbage pick-up schedules for the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day.

The Jamestown street department has announced garbage pick-up schedules for the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day.

There will be no garbage pickup on Dec. 26 or Jan. 2. Regular garbage pickup routes will resume at 7 a.m. on Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.

During both weeks, Monday’s garbage route will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday; Wednesday’s and Thursday’s routes will be picked up on Thursday and there will be normal garbage pickup each Friday.

The city baler will be closed on Dec. 24 and 26 and Jan. 2.
