Bismarck, West Fargo, still No. 1 in polls

Both Bismarck and West Fargo retained their spots atop the second state Class A poll of the season.

The Bismarck boys’ team, boasting a 3-0 record, received seven first-place votes and Grand Forks Red River received 1.

The Roughriders also stayed put at No. 2 but West Fargo and Minot made their first appearances on the poll at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Mandan, last week’s No. 5, is also tied for fourth with Minot.

Bismarck St. Mary’s Wahpeton, Fargo South and Fargo Shanley all received votes.

The Packers are still sitting No. 1 on the girls side with Bismarck Century, Fargo Shanley and Mandan holding their same spots at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 respectively,

Turtle Mountain made it poll debut in the No. 5 position.

Fargo Davies, Minot, Bismarck St. Mary’s and Bismarck are the other teams to receive votes.
