The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender living in Jamestown.
Darren Michael Weber, 36, is living at the North Dakota State Hospital, 2308 Circle Drive. He is described as Caucasian, 6 feet one inch tall, 275 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair.
Weber has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee, Office of the Attorney General.
Weber was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 1999 in Burleigh County District Court in North Dakota. Authorities said Weber had intercourse with a 14-year-old girl while a friend of his had intercourse with her 17-year-old sister next to him. He received seven years with four years suspended for three years.
The police department said Weber will be on GPS monitoring.
Weber is not wanted by law enforcement at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the county, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Weber. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten Weber or his family or landlord will be turned over for prosecution. Printed handouts of the demographics of Weber are available at the Jamestown Police Department.
