Hillsboro woman dies in rollover on Christmas Eve

A 23-year-old woman died after the pickup she was driving rolled on Christmas Eve near Hillsboro, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday about 8 1/2 miles northeast of Hillsboro on Trail County Road No. 13, the patrol said.

The woman was traveling eastbound on the paved road when the Chevrolet pickup failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup left the road, entered the south One ditch and rolled. The woman was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to Hillsboro Medical Center, where she died, the patrol said.

The woman’s name was not released pending notification of family.

The 2008 Chevrolet pickup was totaled. The crash is still under investigation, the patrol said.
