Sex offender moves to Stutsman County

A high-risk sex offender has changed his address to Stutsman County, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office. Nicholas Allen Harding, 23, now lives at 6338 36th St. SE, Jamestown. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighs 230 pounds, has hazel eyes and brown hair. He drives a silver 2008 Chevrolet Uplander, North Dakota license JHE034.

A high-risk sex offender has changed his address to Stutsman County, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

Nicholas Allen Harding, 23, now lives at 6338 36th St. SE, Jamestown. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighs 230 pounds, has hazel eyes and brown hair. He drives a silver 2008 Chevrolet Uplander, North Dakota license JHE034.

Harding has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee through the North Dakota Attorney General’s Office.

Harding was convicted in April 2010 in Southeast District Court in Stutsman County of corruption of a minor. Authorities said Harding sent a sexually explicit message to a 16-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 30 days, given credit for 10 days served and placed on one year unsupervised probation.

In 2007, Harding was convicted in Southeast District Court in Barnes County of permit obscene performance by a minor. He was sentenced to one year and one day with 284 days suspended and was placed on two years supervised probation.

Also in 2007, he was convicted in Southeast District Court in Barnes County of possession of material. He was sentenced to 82 days and given credit for 82 days served.

Harding is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation and is also on GPS monitoring.

Harding is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is intended for public safety and not to increase fear in the community. The information should also not be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Harding. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten Harding or his family, landlord or employer will be turned over for prosecution.
