Council could appoint interim police chief

The story “JPD to start 2012 without a chief until one is hired,” on page A1 of Friday’s Sun requires clarification. The story indicated the Jamestown City Council would appoint a new police chief during its regular meeting Tuesday. The City Council could also appoint an interim chief rather than appoint a new chief at that time, according to Jeff Fuchs, city administrator.
