Harvard, UND tie 4-4

Marshall Evenson scored a goal and assisted on another in the last 10 minutes as Harvard tied North Dakota 4-4 in men’s college hockey on Friday.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Marshall Evenson scored a goal and assisted on another in the last 10 minutes as Harvard tied North Dakota 4-4 in men’s college hockey on Friday.

The Crimson (4-3-4) trailed 4-2 after a four-goal second period by North Dakota (9-8-2). But Alex Fallstrom pulled the Crimson within one at 10:16 of the third period and Evenson got the equalizer at 13:16 of the third.

Trailing 1-0 after one period, three North Dakota freshmen accounted for four goals in the second period as UND took a 4-2 lead. Nick Mattson scored twice and Brendan O’Donnell and Connor Gaarder added a goal each.

UND scored two goals in 14 seconds and three in a span of just four minutes.

UND had a 37-18 edge in shots on goal. Aaron Dell made 14 saves for North Dakota and Steve Michalek had 33 for Harvard.
