Library will take food instead of fines
Fargo’s public library will take food instead of money for overdue books for the next two weeks.
FARGO (AP) — Fargo’s public library will take food instead of money for overdue books for the next two weeks.
The library says it will forgive a $5 lateness charge in exchange for a nonperishable food item that hasn’t gone past its expiration date. The “food for fines” program will last until Jan. 15.
Food donations will go to the Great Plains Food Bank.
